Our Programs
YOU ARE NOT ALONE! Our UPOPOLIS program safely connects youth who are navigating medical conditions and other stressful life events.
Upopolis is a free, fun, and secure online community that connects youth 10 to 23 with others like them who are going through medical experiences or life challenges in North America. Upopolis reduces social isolation while educating and empowering youth to play an active role in managing and coping with their diagnosis, condition, or challenge.
KHLF exists to empower youth (ages 13-23) living with chronic conditions, grief, mental health, and other life challenges, as well as their teachers and health professionals, by connecting them through inclusive communities of support and practice with the aim to enhance knowledge and improve overall care, health, and well-being.
On common Grounds
On Common Grounds provides a supportive online group environment for youth facing similar life challenges. Designed as an "icebreaker," this peer support initiative allows youth to meet the Upopolis team and connect with others with the same diagnosis before becoming full members of the UPOPOLIS community.
YAP (Youth of Adult Patients)
YAP is an online private group within the Upopolis program for youth who have a parent or caregiver who is living, or has recently been diagnosed with, a serious medical illness.
grief island
Grief Island is designed for youth to navigate their grief in a safe, supportive environment. Paired with the Grief Journal, a guided resource that helps youth process their feelings, Grief Island offers a comprehensive digital platform for healing.
Sibling Island
Upopolis Sibling Island is a private online group specifically created for youth who have a brother or sister with a chronic or critical illness, medical condition, or disability.
